Are there any age limits on ZAZU Life’s cover?

While we love people of all ages, there are some limits on how old a policyholder and any dependants may be to qualify for cover under a ZAZU Life policy.

Immediate Dependant Plans

  • Principal Policyholder: 65 years or younger at the time of applying for cover.
  • Spouse or Partner: 65 years or younger at the time of applying for cover.
  • Child Dependants*: Covered up to the age of 21 years, or 25 years of age if they are registered as a full-time student at a registered tertiary education institution.
  • Special dependants who are fully dependant on the Policyholder will remain covered regardless of their age.

* Child dependants need to be added as dependants to an existing policy in order to benefit from the cover and are not automatically covered.

Immediate Dependants can enjoy cover under our Funeral Plans and Value Funeral Plans.

Extended Dependant Plans

Extended Dependants aged 0-85 years at the time of applying are eligible for cover under our Funeral Plans and Value Funeral Plans.

Beneficiary Ages

The nominated Beneficiary must be over the age of 18 years. What is a beneficiary?
